Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
I have compiled all the essential questions/inquiries from the Subscribers on this page since the start of the Newsletter and I will add/update as more questions/inquiries emerges.
As mentioned in the Intro Post, it is important that you have your own personal set-up (edge) since PalmaFutures Newsletter is simply a pre-market analysis of the S&P 500 Futures and insights on the financial markets in general. However, if you are struggling to create your own methodology as a Daytrader, I also do 1:1 mentoring for a fee. You can simply reply to one of the emails from the Newsletter for more information.
FAQ:
What’s the Price of PalmaFutures and What Do I Get for It?
Paid Subscribers: Access to all my posts & everything on the site. Daily ES/SPX plan that interprets prior day market action (incl OVN session) & lays out a practical strategy to trade the market. 1-Hour charts with levels, pivots, and in-depth analysis. Updated daily by 8:15 AM ET.
Free Subscribers: Access to the Sunday Post but without the final section that includes the chart, levels, and in-depth analysis for the following week. Also, index/sector charts with levels, including Bitcoin - updated weekly. For market updates during the day, the levels are X-ed out (last 2 digits) on Notes and social media to be fair to the paid subscribers. Note that some old posts may also be paywalled.
How do I upgrade to a Paid Subscriber?
If you are a free subscriber wishing to get paid access or a paid subscriber looking to change your subscription plan, then sign in to your account on Substack and follow the instructions found here.
How do I cancel my subscription?
To cancel a subscription (or turn-off auto-renew), you can do so in Settings by following the instructions found here.
What do you trade?
I trade the actual Emini S&P 500 Futures market (ES) and I include the OVN (overnight) session for all values.
How do you establish the daily Pivot?
The daily Pivot is simple math using the values from the prior day =
(High + Low + Close) / 3.
What time frames & technical indicators do you use?
As an intraday swing trader, I use Moving Averages, MACD, Stochastics & RSI on multiple time frames. The lower time frames are 1 min & 3 min, the medium time frames are 13 min & 21 min and the higher time frames are 1-Hour & 4-Hours.
How do you determine the intraday swings?
Once the configuration of the technical indicators on all of the time frames is in accordance or in unity, then I know the market is going to turn. Moreover, the levels on the chart and price action must go hand-in-hand with this configuration. It took me many years to create my setups (for different stages of the market) from these patterns. And like every methodology, it is not 100% but works more than it doesn´t.
For new subscribers:
Please note that I often talk about some of my good trades when my setups are formed which I do for educational purposes, but I do not want to give the wrong impression regarding Day-Trading. As an intraday swing trader, I do have bad trades, fakeout trades and some missed trades, it´s all part of the game as long as you have a profitable trading system.
What is IB (Initial Balance)?
IB is the area from the low to the high in the first hour of the US trading session (9:30 ET - 10:30 ET). It is monitored as a break-out area for range extension traders.
What is Balance phase/Imbalance phase?
Balance is when the market is rangebound (sideways market) which is shown as a blue shade on the chart and Imbalance is a trending market, either Bull trend or Bear trend.
Do you have a Discord channel?
No, I don´t. But you can find me on Twitter, LinkedIn, Stocktwits & Instagram. So, please follow me on these sites.
Do you provide 1:1 mentoring?
Yes, I do and there is a fee for the 12-week course where I share my trading system and setups. If interested, simply respond to one of the emails from the Newsletter for additional information.
